Driving safety tips

Driving is the controlled operation of a land vehicle, such as a car, truck or bus. The biggest nightmare for a person on the wheel is when either the brakes fail at a high speed or the accelerator gets struck. Any of the situations can be fatal if the driver is not properly equipped to handle the emergency situation. Here is a set of tips in case of eventuality.

Break fail:
1 Immediately pull the handbrake.
2 Maximize the use of horn and switch on the headlights even if it is daytime.
3 Starts lowing the gears and settle for 2nd gear. At the same time switch off the engine.
4 It’s the last resort but can save life, which is more important. Try reverse gear. The action might damage gearbox, but it’s the best way to halt your car.

Accelerator gets stuck:

Keep your cool and concentrate on the road.
Take stock of traffic front and behind and contemplate if sudden stop is possible. If, yes, then switch off the ignition and change to second gear applying brakes simultaneously.
