How to choose a Paint color

Paint is any liquid, liquifiable, or mastic composition which after application to a substrate in a thin layer is converted to an opaque solid film. While choosing the paint we often overlook the type of paint and generally focus on shades, but a little knowledge about type of paint to be used is helpful in long term maintenance of your walls.

When talking about kinds of paint, there are generally two kinds, one is the latex paint which is a water-based paint and can be simply with water often ideal for kitchen and bathroom.

The other is oil-based one that needs thinner to be added. Both types of paints run in matte, semi gloss and gloss colors.

Although, it depends upon individual’s preference, it is wise to utilize the semi-gloss latex paint because it is easy to use, clean up fast, dries up quick and well not secrete excess fumes.
