Professional Dress. Both Men and Women: Should always wear a suit.
Clothes make the person. How a person dresses makes a statement about one's self-identification, image conveyed to others, and level of occupational aspiration. First impressions last a long time!!!
The environment is good and relaxed, but wearing casual clothes takes away from the professional way people operate when they are professionally dressed. People were going overboard and getting too casual, and it was affecting the way companies were operating. It is a fact of life; if people are corporate dressed they tend to behave in a more corporate fashion. Globalization and the extended coverage that fashion receives in the media have made Indian business people spruce up their sartorial act. The ground rules for modern corporate dressing are straightforward.
The dressing style for women should be of following type:
For women the clothes should be well fitting & modest, no cleavage, no visible underwear, no skirts shorter than 2 inches above the knee, Clean and press, Business knee-length dresses with suit jacket, Suit jacket and pressed pants (do not have to be of the same set), Blouses, Third piece, Dress shoes or dress boots. Color of suit should be navy, gray, cobalt blue, and black. Length of skirt should be below the knee, blouse should be of best fabrics like silk, cotton, or rayon and color should be neutral nothing overwhelming, modest cut. Shoes should match your suit, no contrasting tones. Color of shoes should be black or navy and style should be closed toe pump with small heel (no more than 2 inches). Accessories neutral hose, Belt and purse should match your shoes; you should wear jewelry such that it does not draw attention to any one thing.
The look for men is clean and simple: shirts, jackets, trousers and suits that fit the body snugly. Men are usually limited to either solid or pinstripe suits. Dark colors are best, whether it’s charcoal gray, navy blue, or black.
Men’s Suits - Style
Single-breasted style is appropriate.2, 3, or 4 button styles are fine, but always leave the bottom button undone.4 button style may not be traditional enough for some jobs.
Sleeves should fall at wrist, with the shirt ¼”-1/2” longer.
Shirts & Ties-White, 100% cotton is best, but light blue is acceptable as well.
Wear a plain t-shirt underneath. Silk ties are preferred, as they tie easier.
Ties can be visually bold, and look best when the contrast the shirt and suit colors.
Depending on the industry, any jewelry beyond a watch and wedding ring may be inappropriate. Polish your leather shoes before each day of interviewing. Your belt should always match your shoes. If you have a beard or mustache, your facial hair should be neatly trimmed. Do not have excessive body odor or cologne.
